JET Group takes over Domex Ovenlys

Denmark: Winther Holding sells Domex Ovenlys A/S to JET Group

Acquisition in the Nordic market for daylight solutions, ventilation technology and smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems: as of 21 May, the pan-European JET Group (East Westphalia, Germany) took over 100 percent of the shares in the company Domex Ovenlys (Kongerslev, Denmark). The company was founded in 2003 and belonged to Winther Holding, which also has its headquarters in Kongerslev. The takeover is in line with the growth strategy of JET in the Nordic markets and aims at offering customer optimized service and a wider range of products.

As far back as 2012, the JET Group gained access to the Nordic markets by purchasing the Danish company Multi-Lite (Ringsted). Since then, all principal JET products have been distributed all over Scandinavia from a base in the south of Denmark – for example light domes, continuous rooflights, ventilation equipment and smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV) systems. These find their principal applications in industrial, commercial and municipal buildings.

The present takeover of the company Domex Ovenlys (Kongerslev) in the north of Denmark improves the market position of the JET Group even more. “Domex Ovenlys and Multi-Lite can fulfill customer demands even better and more rapidly by working together,” explains Geert Kessels, managing director of the JET Group. “With these two companies, we plan to set up an integrated, customer-oriented company in Denmark which specializes in daylight solutions with SHEV and natural ventilation. As a result of their geographical situation the present sales and distribution centres of Domex in Kongerslev and of Multi-Lite in Ringsted offer an excellent base for this.” Chairman of the board of Winther Holding A/S, Ole Mølgaard, adds: “We are very pleased and satisfied that a big industrial company is now the owner of Domex. With this new owner Domex can together with Multi-Lite continue its development.”

The previous director of Domex Ovenlys, Henrik Lauridsen, will manage the joint activities of Multi-Lite and Domex Ovenlys from Kongerslev. “We are happy to see our company taken over by the JET Group, one of the leading European manufacturers. The skills and experience of the JET Group open up totally new opportunities in the Nordic markets for us,” says Henrik Lauridsen. The business of Multi-Lite and Domex will go on as before in the current year 2014. “All relevant changes and plans for the period following will be communicated to our customers and stakeholders accurately timed,” Lauridsen explains.
